Hope you all have a lovely bank holiday and half term!
As you may know I help at a homework club in term time every Tuesday 3 till 4:30 and I love going we mainly work with Years 1-6 from the hillfields area. last time we a had an answer to prayer we had a girl from another school in the area which is only behind our church so please pray that would be an opportuinity for re kindle a connection with that school. At the start we help them with thier homework and we have sheets for every year and we also have a 5 minute talk about God through the talked about what it means to know God and we also have a memory verse we give them and when they remember the verse they can get 2 stars and they will put them on our star chart we have for them for good behaviour and doing work. After the talk we either do games, craft , cookery or board games.
Prayer points for this ministry
- Us as leaders as we consider the future of homework club
- For lasting connections with the schools
- That children will come and bring thier friends
- Children to listen to the talks
- Salvation for the kids
- Gospel opportunites during activites
Thanks for reading
Heidi
